"I'm sorry, but I don't want to be an emperor. That's not my business. I don't want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone if possible - Jew, Gentile - black man - white. We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other's happiness - not by each other's misery. We don't want to hate and despise one another. In this world there's room for everyone and the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned men's souls - has barricaded the world with hate - has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical; our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost. The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in man - cries for universal brotherhood - for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world - millions of despairing men, women, and little children - victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people. To those who can hear me, I say: 'Do not despair.' The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish. Soldiers! Don't give yourselves to brutes - men who despise you and enslave you - who regiment your lives - tell you what to do - what to think and what to feel! I'm a Post Production Editor, i use mainly the Apple's Suite (Final Cut HD), but also Adobe Premiere e Canopus Edius. Also use After Effects, Motion, Shake, Combustion, Live Type, Color. For Authoring i prefer DVD Studio Pro and the Compressor support. I use both OS; Microsoft Windows and Mac OSX. For the 3D works Maya or 3D Studio Max (or Poser and SketckUP for fast work).
My productions do not go beyond the fifteen minutes, but also little documentaries or educational videos. I have very good ability to cameraman and I make personally of the timeline for drafting the direction.
In cinema i love Fellini and Leone, Martin Scorsese and Ridley Scott TV commercials, for music videos Anton Corbijn, David LaChapelle and Mark Romanek. I think that the most fascinating documentary is "The Great Summer Olympics in Rome" by Romolo Marcellini (Oscar nomination, 1962).
Despite the influences of my favorite directors i have a very personal and original way to produce video and let us always at the center of my projects what i intend to communicate to the audience, paying attention to the Film Look.
I make from many years of photography and have had several working experiences. In digital editing processing use Apple Aperture and Adobe Photoshop.I like to work independently with digital Canon and Nikon, but my optimal dimension are the reflex of old Hasselblad lit by Lupo and Manfrotto tripods. Black and white with a good load of grain added to my photos take a value and beauty that i call "timeless".
I have a few reference photographs on all Anton Corbijn and David LaChapelle, but i think that Lourdes Del Gado is a lovely photographer.
My passion for music and audio post production started early, on the first computers Amiga, Apple and Atari.
I'm a lover of Musical Instruments with emphasis for Vintage Synth and digital keyboards, mixer, and the sequencers.
Many experiences as a sound technician in the studio or live and a long row of concerts as a spectator. But the greatest fortune is to have meet many audio technician and musicians, first of all the legendary Joe Zawinul, and my "brother" Massimo Parisi.
Currently i prefer to work on Mac OS X platform, with Cubase, Logic Pro, Live, Reason, Soundtrack and the Virtual Instruments, where possible i prefer real instruments. My preferred mixers are Mackie and Yamaha Digital; the Synth and Workstation in order of rating are: Korg, Yamaha, Roland, Moog; the bass and jazz guitars: Precision, Strato, Tele and Gibson.
My feeling with the Internet is very intense and my presence on the web begins officially in 1996 (despite my approach with the computer is much older '1980').
My vision of the network is very different from what is now, the mass diffusion and social networks are rooted in the people, the web as a "tool of socialization" is just one of many ways that its potential offer, but certainly not the main or unique. The "research" is the basis of my personal philosophy on the internet.
My favorite web languages are: xHTML, CSS, XML, JSP, PHP, MySql, AJAX, JavaScript, ActionScript ASP.NET and a lot less CGI. I am a Domainer and an SEO, i personally take care of web design, marketing, content and development of my web sites. I'm familiar with the major CMS and Scripts (Forum, Ad Management, Affiliate Programs, Auctions, Blog, Bookmark Management, Calendars, Chat Scripts, Classified Ads, Click Tracking, Content Management, Customer Support, E-Commerce, File Manipulation, Image Galleries , Mailing List Managers, Polls, Real Estate, Search Engines, User Authentication, Wikis).
